Obituary for Joshua Cohrs

Joshua Ryan Cohrs, the son of Therese Marie (Sweely) Cohrs and Craig Eugene Cohrs, was born August 15, 1980, in Douglas, Wyoming. He passed away on Monday, January 27, 2014, at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of 33 years.

He received his education in Estherville schools and while attending school, Josh participated and excelled in cross country and track. He later graduated from Laker Alternative High School in 1999.

Josh began shoveling snow with his Grandpa Gene at the age of five. He always enjoyed taking care of multiple drives in his neighborhood. He enjoyed riding his pontoon on Lake Okoboji with as many family and friends as it could hold. He enjoyed archery, his 1953 Ford F100 pick up truck, as well as his monster truck. He loved to swim at Pikes Point every summer. He enjoyed skiing, throwing a ball with his nephew, Collin Eugene who lit up his life to be with him. He loved to visit all of his Moran relatives as well as Cohr's families. Recently he got a dirt bike which he loved to ride, even in the winter. He enjoyed camping, his Great Dane, Bo who was a wonderful companion. Josh loved listening to the Door's and Waylon Jennings and dancing around the house with whoever was with him. Josh had a very caring heart. The most important thing to Josh was his family. Josh felt blessed and was happy to have Heather, Jayden, Marcus and Collin in his life. God bless and keep him.

Joshua is so loved and survived by his mother, Therese Cohrs; sister, Heather Cohrs and her daughter, Jayden and his brother, Marcus Cohrs and his son, Collin.

He has been preceded in death by his father, Craig Cohrs; grandparents, Gene and Mary Sweely; Doris and Donald Cohrs; aunt, Kathy Sweely whom he thought of and missed everyday of his life.
